Good deals at Goodwill

Today I went to a local childrens toy / clothing resell shop per the recommendation of a few friends.  I wasn't impressed. The prices were better than retail but still higher than I am used to finding at the local thrift stores.  After I left there I went to the local Goodwill to check out the toys they had in stock.  I spent $9 and received:

$1.99 VTech Tote 'n Go Laptop Plus (Retail: $20)

$3.99 V.Smile Baby-Infant Development System (Retail $95)

$.99 LeapFrog Learning Drum (Retail $32)

$1.99 Jumbo Magnetic Letters (Retail $24)

$9 vs $171 That's a $162 dollar savings!

To me, shopping at Goodwill is like using hand-me-downs or buying at a garage sale, when he's just going to play, throw around, and possible break the toys I don't mind because they're so inexpensive to begin with.  I always sanitize toys before I give them to him (even new toys) and I never purchase something I can't clean or looks so out of date it's considered unsafe.

What deals have you found at a thrift store?
